Welcome to Paragliding Yorke Peninsula

The Yorke Peninsula of South Australia is not renown as a paragliging location, but since it has been my home for the past 20 years, it made perfect sense to me to explore the possibilities for paragliging flights. Although it is located within 2 hrs drive from Adelaide, it is seldom visited by other pilots. The flying is not majestic as in massively high cliff flying, and because it is a peninsula, doesn't have significant thermalling possibilities, but nevertheless, it offers numerous flying options all year round. The sites however are quite small and at high tide, some sites don't have bottom landing options. It needs a really good day to be safely able to have more than one or two wings in the air together, but with all these provisos, it's still fun to fly !!
